Child Care Options Resource & Referral Program has been in operation since 1990. Our purpose is to make quality child care more accessible to families in the communities of Delta, Surrey and White Rock. Child Care Options assists parents in finding child care for children newborn to 12 years of age and supports child care providers in their work towards “quality child care.”

The Skilled Immigrant InfoCentre is an online and in-person resource centre that helps newcomers to Canada find the information they need to get a job, explore careers or start a business. All of our services and resources are free. The information Guides and our staff can help you find the information you need to start working in British Columbia. It can also recommend government agencies, professional associations and other organizations that may help with job search, resume writing or assessing credentials.

The Surrey Language Assessment Centre is the access point for Language Instruction for Newcomers to Canada (LINC), free basic and intermediate English language instruction for adult newcomers to Canada. Must be age 17 or older, and must have one of these documents: Permanent Resident (PR) card; Confirmation of PR; Record of Landing; Notice of Decision from the Refugee Protection Division of the Immigration and Refugee Board; or a Letter from Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) giving approval to remain in Canada while PR is being finalized. Assesses prospective students for eligibility and training level using the Canadian Language Benchmarks Placement Test (CLPBT), then gives referrals to an appropriate LINC school. Serves Coquitlam, Maple Ridge, Pitt Meadows, Port Coquitlam, North Delta, Surrey and White Rock.

There are books in many different languages, ESL Conversation programs, ESL Book Club, information about English language proficiency testing and free internet access.
