The Healthy Self, Healthy Families (HSHF) Program serves refugee and immigrant families, individuals, and youth who experience multiple barriers to settlement. The program provides emotional support, information and tools on how to maintain healthy lifestyles and relationships, and more.
Many newcomers experience trauma and complexities pre-migration and throughout the resettlement experience. The HSHF program can assist with changing family dynamics, addictive and behavioural issues, parenting in a Canadian context, sexual health and mental wellbeing.
Workshops are facilitated with language assistance and enable sensitive health-related topics to be discussed using the appropriate cultural lens.
