H.E.A.L. for Work Program for Women

Empowering survivors of violence and trauma getting into the labour market

Gain new skills and work experience to build the life you want in Canada with our hybrid training. We take an empowerment approach to career services for women survivors of violence or trauma. The H.E.A.L. (Hope. Empowerment. Adaptability. Learning.) program offers:

  • Tuition fee support
  • Group workshops and one-on-one coaching (life and employability skills)
  • Free occupational skills training as needed
  • Childcare supports as needed
  • Individualized counselling as needed
  • Transportation allowance
  • Other wraparound supports as needed

Up to $1,000 in completion bonuses!

Program eligibility

You may be eligible for the free H.E.A.L. for Work Program if you meet the following criteria:

  • Women survivors of violence or trauma
  • Women experiencing health issues, stress, depression or anxiety
  • Looking for a job or training
  • Unemployed or working less than 20 hours/week
  • Canadian citizen, permanent resident or protected persons entitled to work in Canada

The program is offered in English.
