Last week around 75 seniors from our Therapeutic Activation Program for Seniors (TAPS) felt the holiday spirit — albeit it a bit cold — on a special field trip to go on the Bear Creek Christmas Train! The seniors laughed, crafted fun hats, took photos with Santa and filled the air with Christmas carols — their favourite was We Wish You a Merry Christmas! For many seniors, volunteers and some staff, this was the first time they had ever been on the train or seen the elaborate light display put on by the City of Surrey at Bear Creek Park! If you or a senior you know would like to be a part of engaging community building field trips like this, contact seniors@dcrs.ca or visit www.dcrs.ca/our-services/services-for-seniors/ #ForPeopleForCommunities #bctrains #Christmas #SurreyBC #Newton #Delta #seniors #FREE #Programs #services ...
