Praneet Sandhu, Director, People & Culture, at DIVERSEcity Community Resources Society, is a trusted human resources professional with 12 years of responsible and progressive experience working with private and non-profit sectors. Her professional experience includes development and implementation of people and culture strategies, policies and practices; performance management programs; employee engagement and retention strategies; staff development and succession planning; diversity, inclusion and equity; as well as compensation and benefits, while ensuring a healthy workplace culture and values.
She has 10 years of experience in labour relations with extensive knowledge of creating and implementing long-term labour relations strategies in a unionized environment, including collective bargaining agreement negotiations.
In her previous role as Senior Manager, Human Resources, at the Alma Mater Society of UBC (AMS), Praneet acted as a strategic partner for the organization and focused on the best interests of all in creating an employee-centric environment. In 2020, she was awarded the “Just Desserts” award for making a difference in students’ lives, and received the AMS “Band Aid Award” two years in a row (2018 and 2019) for being resourceful and providing creative solutions in resolving complex problems.
Praneet has a master’s degree in business administration (MBA) with specialization in human resources from University of Phoenix.
