Let’s join together to end gender-based violence!
One Billion Rising is a global movement launched on Valentine’s Day 2012 calling for the end to gender-based violence. “One billion” comes from the statistic that one in three women on the planet will be beaten or raped in their lifetime!
This year, DIVERSEcity’s Survivor-Centered Systems of Care Project is proud to partner with NEVR (kpu.ca/NEVR), with the support of PREM, to cohost an empowering event, bringing together organizations doing gender-based violence work, survivors and other women for important conversations, knowledge- sharing and support.
In addition to inspiring dialogue, the event will include creative group activities and a catered lunch. Registration is required.
