Amy K. Gill is a senior financial professional with more than 17 years of diverse leadership experience in Vancouver and abroad. She has had a strategic role in a wide range of organizations that span from multinational public sector companies, to privately held startups, in addition to government and non-profit organizations. Amy is a chartered professional accountant (CPA, CGA) and a graduate of Simon Fraser University (bachelor of business administration). She currently serves as the CFO at the Vancouver Chinatown Foundation, a non-profit dedicated to the cultural, economic and community revitalization of Chinatown.
Amy has always had a passion for community work where success is not measured in profits, but rather in how you help in improving the lives of others. She serves on multiple boards providing governance and oversight, and gets tremendous fulfilment from giving back.
Having grown up in Surrey as the daughter of immigrants, Amy strongly feels that by assisting newcomers with the appropriate programs and services, you help people make fundamental strides in settling into the community. Amy is a firm believer that those who benefit from these programs tend to pay it forward so that the entire community benefits in the long term.
