Gavrielle Tran is named Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of DIVERSEcity
DIVERSEcity Community Resources Society is pleased to announce the appointment of Gavrielle Tran as Chief Financial Officer, effective October 3, 2022.
Gavrielle brings to her new role more than two decades of experience in the business and NPO sectors where she honed her experience in providing strategic input to the CEO and executive levels, overseeing finance and IT, risk and compliance. She has served as the Director of Finance at DIVERSEcity since 2021 and is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CMA) and also holds a bachelor of commerce degree from Thompson Rivers University and a master of business administration (MBA) from Athabasca University.
As part of our commitment to strengthen our leadership teams, this is one of the first of many announcements to come.
In her new role, Gavrielle will be responsible for the shared services departments at DIVERSEcity and will work with CEO Neelam Sahota and the Senior Management Team at DIVERSEcity to implement the strategic vision and values of our organization. She will also be responsible for planning, implementing, managing and overseeing all of DIVERSEcity’s Finance, Innovation and Sustainability teams.
During her tenure, Gavrielle has focused on optimizing efficiencies in finance and accounting functions to support the overall organizational strategic plan and led the organization’s annual audit and budget plans. With a good understanding of the local, provincial and federal government-funding models, her record of leading team initiatives is strong and sustained. She has an unwavering passion for and belief in the value of interdepartmental collaboration for the successful execution of strategy and achieve desired organizational results. Gavrielle has been a CPABC Ambassador and a mentor for business students at Trinity Western University and also serves on the Board of Directors for West Coast Environmental Law.
